Tenstorrent is leading the industry on cutting-edge AI technology, revolutionizing performance expectations, ease of use, and cost efficiency. With AI redefining the computing paradigm, solutions must evolve to unify innovations in software models, compilers, platforms, networking, and semiconductors. Our diverse team of technologists have developed a high performance RISC-V CPU from scratch, and share a passion for AI and a deep desire to build the best AI platform possible. We value collaboration, curiosity, and a commitment to solving hard problems. We are growing our team and looking for contributors of all seniorities. Tenstorrent builds AI and RISC-V compute hardware and licenses its technology to partners worldwide. The Corporate Development Associate leads client-facing analysis for the strategic deals side of the team, owning the evaluation, structuring, and execution of partnerships and commercial transactions. The role suits someone who takes on responsibility quickly, operates independently, and is credible in front of partners, customers, and the C-suite. Corporate Development is responsible for the transactions that shape Tenstorrent as a company: raising capital, acquiring or partnering with other businesses, and structuring the commercial and licensing agreements that extend the reach of its technology. The team runs Tenstorrent's equity and debt financings and its investor relations, evaluates and executes buy-side and sell-side M&A, negotiates strategic partnerships and joint development agreements, supports licensing and strategic sales, and develops government and sovereign AI programs. Counterparties include semiconductor and systems companies, data center operators, institutional and strategic investors, and government bodies in North America, Asia, and Europe. The team reports directly to Tenstorrent's Chief Strategy Officer and works day to day with the CEO and the executive team. It is small, and every member carries real responsibility from the start. This role is hybrid, based out of Toronto, ON. We welcome candidates at various experience levels for this role. During the interview process, candidates will be assessed for the appropriate level, and offers will align with that level, which may differ from the one in this posting. Who You Are - Credible in a room, even early in your career. You speak up when you have something to add and you can hold your own with senior people. A clear communicator who coordinates smoothly across internal teams and external counterparties. - Building a career, not filling a job. You want to be an owner and a leader here one day and you are prepared to put in the work that requires. Ready to hit the ground running, take ownership early, and learn quickly in a company that moves fast, and willing to travel when a deal requires it. - Organized and detail-oriented, able to keep many workstreams moving at once without letting anything slip. Analytically capable and comfortable working with data, research, and financial information. - Interested in technology in practice, not just in principle. You use it, build with it, and follow the semiconductor, data center, and AI markets. - Sociable by nature. You enjoy getting to know people and you build relationships because you like people, not because you need something from them. Serious about the work and good company while doing it. You can take a joke and make one, then put your head down and finish the job. What We Need - Build and maintain financial models and valuation analyses that support fundraising, M&A, licensing, and commercial decisions, including discounted cash flow, comparable company, and precedent transaction analyses. Analyze financial statements, filings, projections, and market data on targets, partners, investors, and competitors. - Prepare research, briefing notes, and presentation materials for the team, senior leadership, and the board, covering industry trends, strategic alternatives, competitive positioning, and counterparty profiles. Support investor and partner roadshows and executive meetings, including preparation, logistics, and follow-through. - Coordinate deal processes end to end, from scheduling and trackers to follow-ups and document management. Support due diligence and data room organization across active transactions, including financing rounds, M&A, and strategic partnerships. - Maintain pipeline and CRM hygiene across partnerships, business development, investors, and strategic sales. Draft and manage internal and external communications that keep deal workflows on schedule. - Work with Tenstorrent's engineering, product, sales, legal, and finance teams to bring the right expertise into each transaction. What You Will Learn - How a private technology company raises capital: equity and debt financings, investor relations, and the mechanics of a cap table. - How strategic partnerships, licensing deals, and M&A are sourced, evaluated, structured, negotiated, and closed. - The AI hardware, semiconductor, and data center ecosystem and the players that shape it. - What a disciplined deal process looks like when run alongside senior leadership, and how decisions are made at the top of a company, through direct exposure to the CEO, CSO, and executive team. - Hands-on skills in financial modeling, valuation, research, deal coordination, and executive communication. Compensation for all engineers at Tenstorrent ranges from $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
