Why this role exists
Metaview raised $60M Series C on 30 Sept 2026. This role went up 1 day later.
Metaview is an AI company focused on recruiting. We build AI agents that help world-class companies hire with radically more speed and precision. We automate the toil, and augment the human for companies like Brex, Affirm, Deel, ElevenLabs, and Airtable. Founded by Siadhal and Shahriar after their experiences scaling Uber and Palantir, we've raised over $50m from top-tier investors. Most recently, Google Ventures led our series B. We're growing 5x YoY, our customers are raving fans of the product, and our story has been covered in Fortune, Forbes, TechCrunch, and The Times. It's still day 0: Now is the time to re-engineer how work gets done with AI at the core, and our toughest challenges still lie ahead. We're looking for people seeking the hardest, most fulfilling work of their lives. How we work Four principles guide us: - Velocity. Optimize for rate of learning. Take action, get feedback, get better. - Hospitality. Sweat the experience. Delight customers, candidates and colleagues, even when it’s inconvenient. - Transparency. Public unless private. Share context openly within the company so people and agents can take initiative. - End-to-end. Deliver outcomes, not tasks. Step beyond your job description and see the work through. The role We're bringing accounting in-house for the first time. Collections, AP, and reconciling across our systems have all been running without a single owner, and that gap is exactly where you'll make your mark early. AI is also rewriting how accounting functions operate, and you'd be building our version of that as we scale, a modern, best-in-class finance function, not a legacy one with AI bolted on. This is a hands-on role reporting directly to the Head of Finance, owning the day-to-day money end to end: collections, AP, payroll, bookkeeping, and month-end close across our US and UK entities. We're looking for someone a few years post-qualification who has already owned a close and wants to own a whole function next. You'd run it from day one rather than growing into it, and pick up more of our technical accounting, compliance and treasury work as we scale. And we want someone who'd rather build the process than inherit one. Key ownership areas: - Own collections and AP, the single point of contact for customers and vendors. - Own month-end close and consolidation across our US and UK entities. - Own payroll and sales commissions, working directly with Sales and RevOps. - Own the tools behind our finance stack, from selection through implementation, and keep spend under control. - Build AI-driven automation into reconciliations, reporting, and close. What you bring - Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) with a few years in-house since qualifying. - You've owned a month-end close end to end, not supported one. - Multi-entity or cross-border (US/UK) experience. - You take a process and own it - you'd rather deliver finished work than ask permission at every step. - You find building the playbook appealing. - You double-check everything and usually catch what others miss. - You're excited to use AI to make accounting work faster and more accurate, not just to use the tools you're handed. What we offer - The best co-workers you'll ever have, in an environment that fosters cohesion, collaboration, and performance. - Supreme rate-of-learning as we re-orient how the world works with AI. - High compensation, through cash and equity. - All the benefits you'd expect and more.
