Why this role exists
Causa Prima raised $20M Seed on 13 Oct 2026.
About Causa Prima We're building autonomous finance operations for the CFO office. Think accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management and treasury, run by agentic AI rather than spreadsheets and manual review. It's early, the problems are hard, and the people who join now shape what the company becomes. We work between Madrid (our primary hub) and Munich, in-person. Why you're here You've looked at our open roles and nothing fits, but something about what we're doing stuck with you. Good. Some of our best hires didn't come through a job we'd posted. They reached out, showed us how they think, and we built a role around them. This is that door. Tell us what you're exceptional at and where you'd want to make a dent, and we'll keep you close for when the right thing opens up (or create it). Who tends to thrive here - You move fast and ship real things, not decks about things. - You go deep. You'd rather understand a problem properly than skim five. - You have strong instincts in your domain and the judgment to know when to trust them. - You're comfortable with ambiguity and short on ego about owning the unglamorous parts. - You actually care about finance, AI, or both. We hire across engineering, product, design, operations, and go-to-market. If you're great at something we haven't named, surprise us. How we work Small team, high ownership, very little process for its own sake. We value original thinking over polish, output over activity, and honest direct communication over diplomacy theatre. All three founders meet every person who joins. What we offer - Meaningful equity. Early-employee ownership is real here, not a rounding error. - Compensation benchmarked to market, with the flexibility that comes from joining early. - Work that compounds: what you build now defines the product and the company. - A team that's serious about the mission and not precious about much else. How this works Drop your CV and a few lines on what you're great at and what you'd want to own. We read every one. If there's a fit now, we'll move quickly. If it's a "not yet," we'll keep you on file and reach out when something lands that matches you. No black hole.
