About the role As a member of the Customer Onboarding team, you will support our customer onboarding specialist by completing plan document reviews to determine plan provisions and consulting on plan design. You’ll also be involved in the preparation of plan documents and amendments. In addition to the technical aspects of the role, you will also interact on a cross-functional basis with several teams, including onboarding, Customer Support, Relationship Managers, and internal operations, to ensure the best possible experience for the customers. What you get to do every day - Review and interpret plan documents to determine plan provisions, acting as a consultant to Customer Onboarding Specialists and their clients on recommended plan designs to meet their needs - Prepare plan document amendments and notices - Assist Customer Onboarding Specialist with questions, problem-solving, and resolution regarding document issues - Assist auditors as needed - Audit Benefit Analysis, plan documents, and system setups prior to plan launch to ensure absolute accuracy and compliance. - Quality review peer documents, amendments, policies, and setup checklists prior to client distribution and plan launch. - Serve as a subject matter resource for internal teams Customer Onboarding, Relationship Managers, Compliance Team) to explain technical plan document issues. - Maintain up-to date knowledge of present legislation and proposed legislative changes with regard to ERISA law What you bring to the role - 4+ years of progressive retirement plan experience, including at least 1 year of experience with compliance testing, annual IRS reporting requirements, and a comprehensive understanding of plan documents and Form 5500 Filings - Knowledge of ERISA and IRS regulations - Ability to research solutions and interpret technical literature - Strong communication and partnership skills and the ability to explain complex issues to all levels within an organization - Self-starter and passionate about suggesting and implementing process improvements - Ability to work towards Industry designation within first 12 months (ASPPA, NIPA, etc.) Why you will love working at Human Interest Human Interest is tackling one of our country's biggest challenges - closing the retirement gap. Compensation - At Human Interest, there are a number of factors that are used to determine the appropriate pay range for each position. We take into account the cost of labor for each position in various markets across the U.S. The base salary for this position spans $70,000 - $80,000 annually and represents the minimum in our lowest geographic region to a maximum in our highest geographic region. The salary we offer to a new employee within this range is based on their location within the U.S., their relevant job-related skills, and experience. At Human Interest, base salary is one component of the overall total rewards package. Depending on the position, additional compensation components such as bonuses, commissions, and equity may be offered.
