For this role, we can hire candidates based in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Portugal, Spain or The Netherlands About the role Typeform is looking for a Strategic Finance Partner – Marketing to join our growing FP&A team and become the dedicated finance partner to our Marketing organization. Marketing is a key driver of Typeform’s next stage of growth. As we continue to scale our product-led business while expanding further into enterprise, we’re investing in building a more sophisticated understanding of marketing performance, unit economics and return on investment. This role goes beyond traditional budgeting and reporting. You’ll work closely with Marketing leadership to understand what drives growth, where we should invest, and how we can make smarter decisions about allocating our marketing spend. You’ll bring together strong financial thinking, commercial judgment and data to help answer questions such as: Where should we invest more? Which channels are generating the strongest returns? How should we think about CAC and LTV across different customer segments? And when do we start seeing diminishing returns? What you’ll do - Act as the dedicated strategic finance partner to our Marketing organization, supporting leadership with planning, performance analysis and investment decisions. - Develop and improve our understanding of key marketing and SaaS unit economics, including CAC, LTV, LTV/CAC, CAC payback and ROAS . - Analyze marketing performance across channels, campaigns and customer segments to understand where investment is generating the strongest returns. - Partner with Marketing to understand the full acquisition funnel and the relationship between marketing spend, customer acquisition, pipeline and revenue. - Help improve our attribution and understanding of how different marketing activities — including paid channels — contribute to overall and organic growth. - Build dynamic forecasts and scenario models that allow us to move beyond static budgeting and make faster, more informed investment decisions. - Model the impact of increasing or decreasing investment across different channels, including identifying where returns begin to diminish. - Identify opportunities to improve marketing efficiency and recommend where investment should be increased, reduced or reallocated. - Translate complex financial and performance data into clear, commercially relevant insights for Marketing, Finance and senior leadership. - Help build scalable processes, frameworks and reporting as Typeform continues to develop its Strategic Finance capability. What you bring - Strong experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, Commercial Finance or Finance Business Partnering , ideally within a SaaS, subscription or technology business. - Experience partnering with Marketing, Growth or another commercially focused function . - A strong understanding of SaaS and marketing economics, with experience working with metrics such as CAC, LTV, CAC payback, ROAS and unit economics . - Experience analyzing marketing spend, customer acquisition, channel performance or marketing ROI. - Strong financial modeling, forecasting and scenario-planning skills. - A commercial mindset — you’re interested not only in what happened, but why it happened and what the business should do next . - The ability to turn complex analysis into clear recommendations and communicate them effectively to senior stakeholders. - Confidence working independently, challenging assumptions and building structure where it doesn’t yet exist. - Comfort working in a highly collaborative, international and remote environment. - A proactive and curious approach, with the ability to balance analytical depth with practical commercial decision-making.
