ABOUT THE COMPANY Braintrust is the agent observability platform. By actively applying intelligence to agent traces and automatically surfacing the most critical patterns, Braintrust gives teams the visibility to understand how agents behave in production and the tools to improve them. Teams at Notion, Stripe, Box, OpenAI, and Cloudflare use Braintrust to trace their agents, find the issues in their observability data, and run evals that tell them how to improve. You’ll play a critical role in how Braintrust scales. In the early stages, this is a hands-on role where you will build financial models, manage forecasting, and establish operational discipline. Over time, you will define our strategic finance function, build repeatable processes, and scale a high-performing team. You’ll partner closely with GTM, Marketing, Engineering, and Operations to ensure decisions are grounded in sound economic principles and long-term value creation, while feeding insights back into how we improve our business model. IDEAL CANDIDATE CREDENTIALS - Experience: 8-12+ years of progressive finance experience in Strategic Finance, FP&A, Corporate Finance, or Investment Banking, ideally within a high-growth B2B SaaS or AI technology company. - Leadership: Proven track record of building or leading a finance function, with the ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in an early-stage or scaling environment. - Analytical Rigor: Deep expertise in financial modeling, long-range planning, and capital allocation.
