THE ROLE You are the company's revenue accounting owner, from contract signature to cash. You take over contract-level ASC 606 analysis, run revenue close, own deferred revenue and contract costs, and become the audit's first line for the revenue cycle. WHAT YOU WILL DO: - Review customers contracts, amendment and upsell; document performance obligations, transaction price, variable consideration and SSP positions in audit-ready memos - Own the monthly revenue close: revenue, deferred revenue and contract asset schedules, flux analysis, and reconciliations from the billing subledger to the GL, ARR to Revenue recognition bridge. - Own commission capitalization and amortization under ASC 340-40 - Own billing data integrity from CRM opportunity to invoice to revenue schedule; design and run order-to-cash controls with Sales and Revenue Operations - Manage the outsourced AR specialist: invoicing accuracy, collections escalation, credit memos, customer billing disputes and remediation - Lead revenue-cycle audit support: PBC schedules, walkthroughs, disclosures, and technical position defense with our auditors - Build the revenue policy and process documentation as we scale WHAT YOU BRING (REQUIRED): - CPA (a Must) - 6+ years progressive accounting experience with 3+ years hands-on SaaS or software revenue recognition; industry (not audit-only) revenue experience is required - Deep, applied ASC 606 knowledge on complex arrangements: multi-element, usage-based, ELAs, modifications, variable consideration - Experience with a revenue subledger or billing platform integrated with a CRM, and strong command of the order-to-cash data flow - Experience supporting external audits of the revenue cycle, ideally including a first audit or IPO-readiness build - Multi-entity or international billing exposure (multi-currency, cross-border invoicing) - Excellent technical memo writing; able to defend a position to a Big 4 team NICE TO HAVE: - Big 4 foundation followed by high-growth SaaS industry roles - Consumption or usage-based pricing model experience - Strong data skills on large revenue datasets WHO YOU ARE - You thrive in fast-paced environments.
