Salmon is a technology-driven financial company building a banking and lending platform across Southeast Asia, starting in the Philippines. 7M+ app downloads. 2M+ monthly active users. 7,000+ partner stores. US$310M+ raised from top-tier investors. Here, you get real ownership from day one, high standards, and direct communication. You'll work alongside a team that combines deep local knowledge and experience scaling regulated financial companies from scratch. If you want to solve complex problems at scale and directly impact how millions of people access and manage money, come build with us. Southeast Asia's fintech moment starts here. ABOUT THE ROLE You'll build and own Salmon's Frontline Employees Database — the internal system that runs HR and operational processes for around 4,000 frontline employees. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Start with Frontline DB, which brings together employee and candidate profiles, access and account data, time-off information, shift planning, and selected operational results — with a backlog of initiatives across development, integrations, data mapping, documentation, and process improvement. - Own solutions end to end: dig into the business need, clarify requirements with stakeholders, propose a practical approach, and turn it into a working MVP. - Work directly with HR, Operations, People Partners, and Support, and over time extend scope into integrations with HiBob, Ashby, and other internal systems. WHAT YOU'LL OWN - Design, build, and maintain automation and integration workflows in n8n. - Develop and improve PostgreSQL data structures for custom internal solutions. - Build internal applications, forms, and user interfaces in Retool. - Integrate HR and enterprise systems through REST APIs, webhooks, and other integration methods, with custom logic in Python and/or JavaScript. - Test, troubleshoot, document, and maintain what you build — and handle internal support requests for existing tools and workflows (about 20% of the role). - Grow MVP solutions into reliable internal products as processes and needs evolve. WHAT MAKES YOU A STRONG FIT - Hands-on experience with n8n, Make, or another low-code automation platform. - Confident SQL skills and experience with relational databases — you can query, validate, and interpret data independently. - Experience with Retool or another platform for building internal applications and forms. - Working knowledge of Python and/or JavaScript for scripting and automation. - Understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, and common integration patterns, plus a basic grasp of testing, debugging, and error handling. - A proactive working style — you read incomplete requirements, make reasonable technical decisions independently, and know when to escalate — with good English for working with international stakeholders.
