Product Manager, Growth

About the role

Allswell is building the leading mental health company for the LGBTQIA+ community. Affirming, high-quality care is still hard to find and harder to afford, and we are fixing that with a specialized clinical model, technology that makes our clinicians more effective, and insurance coverage that puts real care within reach. The clinical outcomes are strong, and the growth is fast. Since launching, we have served hundreds of clients across Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC, in-network with Medicaid and major commercial plans in all three. 71% of clients report reduced depression, and 77% report reduced anxiety after 60 or more days of care. We are expanding our services and footprint quickly, and building the team to match. Backed by leading healthcare and impact investors, we have the runway to do it right. About the role As Allswell's Product Manager (Growth), you'll report directly to our CTO and own the product experiences that turn patient and provider demand into facilitated care. On the patient side, you’ll own the journey from ad impression to attending the first session. You’ll make it easy for the right patient to understand what we offer, figure out their insurance coverage, complete intake, find the right therapist, and get a session on the calendar. On the therapist side, you'll build the onboarding portal that takes a therapist from sign-up to ready for their first patient. This is a high-ownership role at the intersection of product and growth. You’ll identify the biggest constraints in the system, figure out what’s causing them, build solutions, and measure whether those solutions actually help more people get into care. What you'll own - Patient intake experience: Own the end-to-end journey from landing to booked first session, including landing pages, onboarding and intake flows, insurance eligibility UX, therapist discovery and matching, and scheduling. Make it effortless for the right patient to understand their coverage and get on a calendar. - Therapist onboarding experience: Build the portal and flows that take a therapist from sign-up to first-patient-ready, spanning credentialing, insurance enrollment, licensing, compliance, and scheduling availability. - Matching and activation: Design the systems that connect newly activated therapist capacity with patient demand, and find where capacity or patients get stuck before care happens. - Conversion and instrumentation: Instrument the funnel so you can see where patients and therapists drop off, run experiments to improve those flows, and measure whether changes actually lead to more booked care. What we're looking for - 4+ years of product management experience, ideally with significant ownership of a growth or acquisition funnel and measurable revenue or customer impact - Extremely analytical: you can move fluidly between a funnel, a cohort analysis, an experiment, and the underlying product system - Strong product judgment: you know when to optimize an existing flow and when the system underneath it needs to change - Comfortable owning ambiguous problems end-to-end, from identifying the constraint to shipping the solution and measuring the result - Excellent communicator who can work effectively across engineering, marketing, clinical, and operations teams - Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree a plus What we'd love to see - Experience building growth at a consumer, marketplace, healthcare, or other operationally complex company - Experience connecting advertising spend to downstream revenue, activation, or customer outcomes rather than optimizing to top-of-funnel metrics alone - Experience building 0-to-1 product and operating without a playbook - A deep curiosity about both sides of the marketplace: what patients need to get into care and what therapists need to become productive and successful - A passion for transforming how LGBTQIA+ people access affirming, insurance-covered mental health care Why you'll like working at Allswell - The mission: We are building the definitive mental health company for the LGBTQIA+ community, and the work changes clients' lives. - The scope: You’ll own a critical growth engine across acquisition, patient conversion, therapist activation, and the systems connecting them, with significant ownership from day one. - The leverage: You’ll work directly with our CTO and have the opportunity to shape the systems that determine how quickly Allswell can grow. - The trajectory: A growing business with strong outcomes and fast expansion, with significant room for broader product leadership as we scale. - The benefits: Health, dental, and vision, plus unlimited PTO. - The team: A queer-led company that takes the work seriously, moves quickly, and holds a high bar. - Allswell is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status, and we especially welcome candidates from the communities we serve.
