About the role: You'll lead the Finance side of the core banking system project — turning accounting needs, regulatory obligations, and product-administration realities into system requirements, and delivering against them. What you'll do: - Lead the core banking system project from the Finance side: own the plan end to end — scope, milestones, dependencies, and risk tracking — and act as Finance's subject-matter voice across vendor selection, design, and rollout. - Run UAT, data-migration validation, and cutover planning from the Finance side, coordinating closely with IT/Engineering and vendors. - Connect the dots across Finance, IT/Engineering, and Compliance — surfacing regulatory gaps tied to system limitations and helping close them, and keeping Finance leadership informed on progress, risk, and dependencies. What you'll own: - Turn accounting needs, regulatory obligations (such as BSP/MORB), and product-administration realities into concrete system requirements, and manage delivery against them. - Build and drive the accounting-backlog remediation plan with real milestones, pulling in Finance colleagues and outside help where it makes sense. - Get month-end and period-end close and reporting, based on the core banking system, integrated directly with the GL — and keep it that way. - Take the Odoo accounting-automation work into properly owned, documented, controlled, and audit-ready process. - Identify and prioritise efficiency gains — automating manual entries, reconciliations, and reporting, using AI where it applies — to cut team effort and errors. - Contribute to IPO-readiness work wherever it touches financial systems and controls. What makes you a strong fit: - 10+ years of experience with a strong track record in finance/accounting project management. - A solid grip on accounting fundamentals and the close process. - Proven automation experience — you've led or driven process-automation initiatives, not just used automated tools — including practical Odoo (or a comparable ERP) experience for accounting automation. - Strong IT literacy: comfortable with system architecture, data flows, and technical requirements — enough to bridge Finance and IT/Engineering without a translator. - Strong project-management discipline: scoping, milestone tracking, risk management, and stakeholder communication across Finance, IT/Engineering, and Compliance. - Ability to turn messy, ambiguous problems into a plan with real milestones. What we offer: OWNERSHIP AND FLEXIBILITY - Stock option plan — four-year vesting with a 25% cliff after the first year - Hybrid-first work environment - Company-provided tools and equipment - Office in Bonifacio Global City, Manila — a modern, walkable district at the centre of the Philippines' growing tech scene HEALTH AND TIME OFF - Medical insurance support for you and your family through co-funding or reimbursement, depending on your location and subject to policy limits - Access to an internal mental health support specialist - 22 vacation days, Philippine public holidays, and 15 sick days - 105 days of paid maternity leave and up to 14 days of paid paternity leave for employees relocating to Manila RELOCATION AND FAMILY SUPPORT - Relocation support for you, your family — including flights, two weeks of accommodation, visas, paperwork, and logistics - Reimbursement of eligible pet relocation expenses - USD 2,500 per year for flights home - Baby and family stipends for employees relocating to Manila: USD 1,000 per month for each child under two and USD 500 per month for each child aged two to 18 GROWTH AND TEAM EXPERIENCE - Opportunities to learn and share your expertise through internal expert meetups, external conferences, speaking opportunities, and industry publications - Company-sponsored trips to Manila to meet and work with your team in person - Regular team offsites, sports activities, and team events - High-performing teams can earn a dedicated beach house week in Southeast Asia We believe strong teams are built by people with different backgrounds, experiences, and points of view.
