Henry AI Lands $16.5M Series A, Launches Deal Platform for CRE
FirstMark led the round, and the company also announced Henry Deal, an AI platform used by Colliers to automate underwriting, comps, and pitch deck creation.
Henry AI, a startup building an AI-native workflow platform for commercial real estate brokers, has raised a $16.5 million Series A led by FirstMark. The funding arrives alongside the public launch of its core product, Henry Deal, which automates the manual, time-intensive tasks that slow down dealmaking in CRE: financial underwriting, market research, comps analysis, and the assembly of institutional-grade pitch decks.
The platform is designed to slot into the tools that brokers already use daily. Underwriting models live in Excel, where Henry builds a custom workbook based on a firm’s own pricing and operating assumptions, and any changes to that model sync back to keep deal writeups, decks, and data rooms current. Research is embedded: for every deal, Henry pulls submarket fundamentals, buyer demand patterns, sponsor deal history, and cap rate context, with each figure citing its source. A one-click deck generator produces a brand-compliant, editable presentation with deal narrative, tables, maps, and market overviews. There is also a buyer-universe feature that draws from a firm’s CRM, past closings, and contact history to surface the most likely bidders, ranked by fit and relationship strength.
What sets Henry apart is its attack on fragmented firm data. The company builds and continuously updates a property database and transaction database for each client, capturing every property the firm has touched and keeping it current. That means the comp library grows with each deal, and a broker’s own track record is surfaced automatically to support new listings. Over time, Henry aims to make every subsequent deal easier to win.
The customer list includes major brokerages and advisory shops. Tom de Jong, EVP at Colliers, said the tool gives him back time: “I spend less time on menial tasks, and more time doing what I love — helping people close deals.” Kevin Fitzpatrick of Graystone Capital Advisors noted that Henry allows agents to “pay 100% of their attention to the clients,” while Jason Lee, CEO of Nara Advisors, said the platform has “fundamentally changed how we operate.”
Henry’s backers include Y Combinator and a syndicate of other venture firms, as shown on the company’s website. The platform is SOC 2 Type II certified, with data encrypted at rest and in transit. The company also offers Henry Decks as a standalone product for firms that only need pitch deck automation.
With the Series A capital, Henry is positioned to deepen its AI capabilities and expand its footprint among institutional CRE teams, where speed and the quality of deliverables can be the difference between winning and losing a mandate. The company’s bet is that embedding AI directly into Excel, email, and chat — rather than forcing brokers into a separate interface — will drive adoption among professionals who have long relied on manual processes. As Andrew Montgomery of Montgomery IG put it, Henry is “a competitive advantage because we can respond to our clients with high-quality, professionally branded materials in a fraction of the time.”
