Circolife secures $4.5M pre-Series A backed by Polycab India

Circolife has raised $4.5M in pre-Series A funding, with Polycab India leading the round, according to an announcement dated September 8, 2026.

The Mumbai-based climatetech startup provides IoT-enabled, five-star air-conditioning units to businesses on an all-inclusive subscription model that bundles installation, lifetime maintenance, repairs and end-of-life recycling into a single monthly payment. By removing upfront capital expenditure, the offering converts a large capital expense into a predictable operating cost. The company handles wet and dry servicing twice yearly, gas leak coverage, spare parts replacement and expedited repairs at no extra charge.

Circolife targets a broad set of commercial segments, including offices, co-working spaces, gyms, clinics, salons, spas, food-and-beverage outlets, paying-guest accommodations and tutoring centers. Its website lists more than 100 business customers, among them Theobroma, The Sassy Spoon, Redmint and 99 Pancakes. The startup claims its energy-efficient hardware and AI-powered mobile app can cut electricity bills by roughly 30% compared with conventional units, while providing smart control, energy-consumption analytics and predictive maintenance alerts. It currently guarantees an eight-hour service turnaround in Mumbai.

A distinct feature of the model is its take-back program: at the end of the roughly five-year subscription term, Circolife retrieves the unit and sustainably recycles it, reinforcing its pitch as a climate-focused alternative to traditional AC ownership.

The company did not disclose how it plans to deploy the $4.5M pre-Series A proceeds.
