Syntropy leads $2.4M pre-seed for Zurich quantum startup Qambria
Zurich-based Qambria, founded by Dominik Ulmer and Dr. Jens Krüger, will use the capital to commercialize its vendor-neutral control engine software for quantum hardware makers and enterprise data centers.
Qambria, a Zurich-based quantum infrastructure startup, has raised $2.4 million (CHF 2M) in a pre-seed round led by Syntropy. The company develops classical control engines designed to integrate quantum processing units into high-performance computing (HPC) environments.
The round was led by Syntropy through its Frontier Investment Track. Additional participants included Qbeat Ventures, Kensho VC, BC Growth Equity, and QAI Ventures. Qambria plans to use the capital to commercialize its control engine software, which helps quantum hardware makers and enterprise data centers streamline workload scheduling, real-time data ingestion, and quantum error correction.
Founded by Dominik Ulmer and Dr. Jens Krüger, Qambria builds software and orchestration layers for quantum infrastructure. The company operates as a vendor-neutral provider, licensing its intellectual property to enable the integration of quantum accelerators into existing HPC nodes. The funding date is listed as September 25, 2026.
