Horizon3 Picks Singapore for ASEAN Headquarters, Backed by EDBI
EDBI and SG Growth Capital have taken undisclosed stakes to support the AI-native security vendor's regional build-out, which follows a $250 million Series E at a valuation above $2 billion and a customer base of more than 7,000 organizations.
Horizon3 is putting down roots in Southeast Asia. The AI-native cybersecurity company said it is establishing an ASEAN headquarters and a Regional Centre of Excellence in Singapore, with new investments from EDBI and its parent, SG Growth Capital. The size of those strategic investments was not disclosed.
The Singapore base will also support Horizon3's expansion into Australia and Japan, and serve as a launchpad for Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. The company plans to grow its local workforce as it scales sales, customer support and partner operations across the region, targeting enterprise, mid-market and public-sector customers while widening relationships with managed security service providers, systems integrators and cloud providers.
The expansion follows Horizon3's $250 million Series E funding round, announced in August 2026, which valued the company at more than $2 billion.
Horizon3's core product is NodeZero, an autonomous security platform built to continuously identify and validate exploitable attack paths inside enterprise environments. Rather than leaning primarily on periodic vulnerability assessments, NodeZero autonomously tests defenses, hands over remediation guidance and then retests to confirm whether vulnerabilities have actually been closed. More than 7,000 organizations currently use the technology, including defense organizations, major enterprises, banks and healthcare providers.
The company argues that attackers' growing use of artificial intelligence is what is pushing buyers away from annual penetration tests and toward continuous validation. It pointed to Singapore's Cyber Security Agency, which reported that infected infrastructure in the country rose 142% in 2025 to 284,300 systems, and warned that AI is letting threat actors operate with greater speed, scale and sophistication.
Singapore's regulatory direction is part of the pitch. Horizon3 cited the CSA's Cyber Landscape report and Cyber Trust Mark roadmap, along with tightened technology-risk notices from MAS, as evidence that the market is moving toward security that must be measured rather than documented. The company also intends to work with Singapore's cybersecurity ecosystem on critical information infrastructure resilience and the use of AI in security.
For EDBI, the deal is a bet on both the company and the local ecosystem. Horizon3 is positioning the Singapore operation as a regional hub for organizations shifting from periodic assessments to continuous, evidence-based validation of their defenses.
