Goldman Sachs Backs Cyera's Agentic Security Push With $400M Series G Extension
Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives' $400M extension brings Cyera's Series G to $1B, nineteen days after the company completed its $1B purchase of Oasis Security.
Cyera has added $400M from Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives to its Series G, an extension announced September 22, 2026 that brings the disclosed round total to $1B.
The company sells AI security and data security software. Founded in 2021 by Yotam Segev, Tamar Bar-Ilan and Yonatan Itai, Cyera began with data visibility — helping enterprises discover sensitive information, classify it, understand who could access it, and remediate exposure across cloud and software environments — before widening into data security posture management, data loss prevention, privacy, access governance and AI security.
The extension follows a $600M Series G that Evolution Equity Partners led in June 2026, with Cyberstarts and Temasek participating alongside existing investors including Accel, AT&T Ventures, Blackstone, Coatue and Spark Capital. Goldman's check arrives nineteen days after Cyera completed its $1B acquisition of Oasis Security, which added non-human identity management to the platform and is becoming Cyera Identity. Cyera says it is now valued above $12B and has raised more than $2.7B. The September announcement did not disclose the investment instrument, ownership percentage, dilution, board changes or a new valuation step-up.
The capital will fund additional AI Security product capabilities, expansion in the U.S. federal market, and continued growth across EMEA and APAC. The federal push is unfinished: Cyera for Government was listed as FedRAMP In Process under the Rev5 Agency path as of August 24, 2026, with no authorization letters yet recorded. International expansion follows a larger operating footprint — in January 2026, Cyera reported more than 1,100 employees, operations in 15 countries, 3.4x revenue growth, and customers representing 20% of the Fortune 500, alongside partnerships with Microsoft Purview, AWS and Cohesity. Those figures are company-reported traction claims rather than audited performance.
The deal is a bet on a specific architectural argument. Data security explains what information exists and why it matters; identity security explains which people, machines, applications and AI agents can reach it. Agentic software collapses the gap between those systems into a real-time operating risk, because a credential can be legitimate while the action it authorizes is stale, excessive or disconnected from current business intent. Cyera's Agent Guardian inventories sanctioned and unsanctioned agents, maps the models, tools, identities and data connections behind them, monitors tool calls and can block unsafe actions before execution, while Cyera Endpoint extends visibility to local agents on employee devices.
Irit Kahan, a Managing Director within Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives, framed the emerging risk as the widening gap between what agents are trusted to do and what they can actually reach.
