Polychain Leads Seed Round for Uniform Labs' Multiliquid as Total Funding Reaches $8M
The seed round, led by Polychain with participation from Strobe Ventures, CMT Digital, Metalayer Ventures, Generative Ventures and Circle Ventures, brings Uniform Labs' total funding to $8M.
Uniform Labs, the developer of the Multiliquid protocol, has closed a seed round led by Polychain, with participation from Strobe Ventures, CMT Digital, Metalayer Ventures, Generative Ventures and Circle Ventures, according to the announcement. The financing brings the company's total funding to $8M.
Multiliquid is an institutional liquidity protocol for tokenized assets. Uniform Labs builds the liquidity infrastructure intended to make tokenized assets liquid, usable and accessible, positioning the protocol as the layer between tokenized asset issuance and the institutional capital that would trade them.
The syndicate is led by Polychain, with five further firms participating: Strobe Ventures, CMT Digital, Metalayer Ventures, Generative Ventures and Circle Ventures. The announcement did not disclose how the proceeds will be used, nor did it include a valuation, headcount or terms of the round.
That the round is being described as bringing total funding to $8M — the same figure attached to the seed round itself — suggests the raise accounts for the entirety of the company's disclosed outside capital to date, rather than stacking on top of a previously announced venture round.
Uniform Labs is one of a set of teams building settlement and liquidity plumbing for tokenized real-world assets, a segment that has drawn both crypto-native funds and corporate venture arms into its cap tables. Polychain's position as lead gives the round an anchor investor with a long record in early-stage crypto infrastructure, while the participation list spans specialist digital-asset funds and a strategic backer in Circle Ventures.
What remains unanswered is the harder question for any liquidity protocol: whether the new capital converts into integrations with the asset issuers and institutions whose assets Multiliquid is designed to make liquid. The announcement offered no timeline for further product or partnership disclosures.
