Temporal Technologies Tops The Week's U.S. Funding Charts With $550M
The AI infrastructure company's $550M financing was the largest U.S. startup round announced in the week tracked by Crunchbase, ahead of a $308M raise by space vehicle developer Impulse Space.
Temporal Technologies, an AI infrastructure company, landed the largest U.S. startup funding round of the week with a $550 million financing, according to Crunchbase News' weekly rundown of the ten biggest announced deals.
The round topped a list that also included a $308 million investment in Impulse Space, a developer of space vehicles. No other company in the week's top ten came close to Temporal's total, and the week's biggest rounds generally sat in the hundreds of millions rather than the billions.
That marked a step down from the prior week, which Crunchbase News described as producing multiple billion-dollar-plus rounds. The publication framed the shift simply: investors "have reduced the number of zeroes on their funding checks."
The rest of the week's largest rounds skewed heavily toward artificial intelligence. Crunchbase News said the remaining list featured mostly AI-focused companies spanning investment management, networking, coding and marketing, alongside a pair of non-AI entries in energy and biotech. Data center developer Crusoe also made official a previously reported round, part of a week in which infrastructure and compute-adjacent businesses continued to draw large checks.
The announcement was compiled by Joanna Glasner in Crunchbase News' weekly feature tracking the ten largest announced funding rounds in the U.S. The feature runs alongside the Crunchbase Megadeals Board, a curated list of $100 million-plus venture deals to U.S.-based companies. Temporal Technologies' round is dated in the Sept. 18, 2026 edition of the rundown.
Details beyond the headline figure were not disclosed in the roundup. The report did not identify a lead investor or list participating firms, and it did not specify a round type or describe how Temporal intends to deploy the capital. The company's own description in the roundup was limited to its sector classification as an AI infrastructure business.
