L Catterton backs Scanntech's $180M Series F for Latin American retail data
Partners Group joined as co-lead with Bradesco and SPX participating, as the São Paulo- and New York-based company pushes into new markets and consumer categories.
Scanntech, a retail intelligence and data analytics platform serving consumer goods companies and retailers in Latin America, has raised $180 million in a Series F round.
The round was led by L Catterton, the global consumer-focused investment firm. Partners Group joined as a co-lead investor, with additional participation from Bradesco and SPX. The company did not disclose a valuation.
Founded in 1992 by Raul Polakof, Benny Szylkowski and Soledad Fernandez, Scanntech is based in São Paulo and New York. Its platform transforms ticket-level point-of-sale data into actionable market intelligence, and it serves manufacturers, retailers and distributors across Latin America. That places the company in the retail analytics software category, where granular point-of-sale data has become an increasingly contested asset for consumer goods brands hunting for visibility into what actually moves off the shelf.
The company plans to use the capital to advance its analytics and AI capabilities, broaden its product suite, and accelerate geographic expansion into new markets and consumer categories.
The financing stands out in Latin America's enterprise software market for its size and its late-stage structure. Series F rounds are rare in the region, and the participation of a consumer-focused global investor alongside a development-focused partner in Partners Group, plus local players Bradesco and SPX, spans a mix of growth capital and regional balance sheets. It also signals continued investor appetite for data infrastructure businesses that sit between retailers and the manufacturers supplying them — a position that becomes more valuable as consumer goods companies look for faster reads on demand across fragmented retail networks.
For L Catterton, whose portfolio is built around consumer brands, the deal extends its exposure downstream from products to the data layer that informs how those products are priced, stocked and distributed. Partners Group's co-lead role suggests the round was structured with an eye toward scale rather than a purely venture-style bet.
The funding was dated October 13, 2026, with the announcement updated October 15, 2026. Scanntech did not disclose revenue, headcount or customer figures in the announcement.
