From a Family Kitchen to 8,000 Stores, EZ Bombs Raises $25M
CAVU Consumer Partners led the Series A, and CAVU Principal Brandon Neumann will join the company's board as part of the financing.
EZ Bombs announced a $25M Series A led by CAVU Consumer Partners on October 14, 2026. The company sells shelf-stable seasoning portions for Mexican dishes — pre-portioned flavor bases a home cook drops into a pot — and says its retail presence has grown to more than 8,000 locations.
Co-founder and CEO Brandon Castaneda started the business with his mother, Tina Castaneda, and his sister, Nichole Munoz. According to the company's announcement, EZ Bombs was founded in late 2023, with Tina Castaneda's cooking providing the recipe base and Nichole Munoz leading social strategy. Castaneda's qualification for starting it, as the source frames it: he loved his mother's cooking and could not reproduce it.
The company's own account of its origins describes the practical inspiration of a bath bomb — ingredients brought together in a form someone can drop into a vessel. With the Birria Bomb, the vessel is a cooking pot. The result still depends on the buyer bringing the other ingredients and following a cooking method, which makes preparation guidance part of what the brand has to deliver. The Birria Bomb product page tells the buyer to combine a bomb with beef and water, then use a pressure cooker, slow cooker or stovetop, and describes a shelf-stable product with a 24-month shelf life. The live range also includes pozole, chicken chipotle and chile colorado, organizing the lineup around dishes rather than individual spices.
Manufacturing, distribution, product development and executive hiring are the stated uses of the capital.
EZ Bombs first built its business through TikTok Shop and Amazon, according to the funding announcement, where a demonstration featuring Tina Castaneda could show the product entering the pot and the meal taking shape. The company's dated release names Walmart, Target, Costco, Kroger, Albertsons and Publix among its retail channels. Its website still displays a lower store-count figure, so the more than 8,000 number should be read as the company's October 14 announcement rather than an independently reconciled census. On a physical shelf, packaging, product names and cooking instructions have to carry the explanation that video once did for shoppers encountering the brand for the first time.
CAVU has confirmed its lead investment in the round. CAVU Principal Brandon Neumann will join the company's board as part of the financing, according to the issuer release. CAVU's published approach includes work on distribution, pricing, packaging, digital commerce, talent and operations, and the EZ Bombs announcement says the investor's UNCOMMON team will support the company across retail expansion, brand development, e-commerce and executive recruitment.
The company has not disclosed its valuation, prior financing, revenue or per-store sales, leaving the scale of the financial outcome open while the stated spending priorities identify the work management intends to fund.
