Abby Care Turns Family Members Into Paid Caregivers With $82M Series C
Transformation Capital led the round, with CVS Health Ventures, Frist Cressey Ventures and Pivotal joining returning backers Khosla Ventures, Thrive Capital and Sequoia Capital.
Abby Care has raised an $82M Series C led by Transformation Capital, the San Francisco company announced on October 15, 2026. CVS Health Ventures, Frist Cressey Ventures and Pivotal joined the round alongside returning investors Khosla Ventures, Thrive Capital and Sequoia Capital.
The company trains, employs and supports family caregivers, pairing clinical oversight with software that makes care delivered at home more visible to the institutions paying for it. Its platform covers onboarding, training, certification, charting and the coordination of nurse visits. Family caregivers use the software to follow progress toward care goals, while clinicians manage care plans.
Abby Care identifies broader family access, health-plan relationships, its AI platform and clinical infrastructure as priorities for the new capital. Its fundraising update described both an expansion of the care model and continued technology development, and supplied no allocation of proceeds or timetable for entering individual markets.
The round follows a documented earlier capital base. Forbes reported in July that Abby Care had raised $45M at that point. The latest announcement establishes the new round; a current consolidated funding total and valuation were not confirmed in the reviewed primary materials.
The investor group brings healthcare specialists into a business already backed by general technology investors. Transformation Capital's company profile lists Abby Care as an active partnership established in 2026 and identifies Havi Nguyen as founder and CEO. Nguyen has described the importance of an investor that understands clinical quality and relationships with regulators, health plans and health systems — relationships that shape how a provider can grow, rather than simply how quickly its software can ship.
That commercial framing runs through the product. Abby Care's health-plan offering emphasizes real-time documentation, analytics and transparent reporting, which means household activity has to be made understandable to a payer without burying the household in administrative work. For a health plan, a supported caregiver can become a more consistent source of information about a member whose care takes place outside a clinic.
Eligibility and care arrangements also depend on the relevant program. Abby Care's Colorado authorization guide describes assessment, documentation and approval steps, so expanding the model brings local operating requirements along with the next family. The company's website currently lists service in Colorado, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Florida, Massachusetts, Georgia, New Jersey and Tennessee — an eight-state footprint spanning different programs.
