Motilal Oswal backs Sensa Core's $72M PE round in traditional diagnostics
The Telangana-based diagnostics company's PE round, led by Motilal Oswal, landed in the 16–29 December window tracked by StartupTalky's weekly funding table.
Sensa Core, a Telangana-based company operating in the traditional diagnostics sector, raised $72M in a PE round led by Motilal Oswal, according to StartupTalky's weekly Indian startup funding tracker. The entry sits in the tracker's December 2025 window covering 16 December to 29 December.
That fortnight was among the busier stretches in the dataset. Also listed in the same window: MoEngage's $57M Series F led by ChrysCapital, Digantara's $50M Series B led by SBI Investment, True Balance's $75M conventional debt round from Community Investment Management, and Transcon Ind's $27.9M Series B backed by Premier Energies.
Within the same two weeks, other healthcare-related names appear alongside Sensa Core. Oppam, a Kerala healthcare booking startup, raised $167K in seed funding from Phoenix Angels. PlasmaGen BioSciences, a Karnataka pharmaceuticals company, took $16.7M in a Series D led by Vins Bio Products. NU Hospitals, a Karnataka hospital chain, recorded an undisclosed Series A from Somerset Capital.
Measured against the other Telangana companies in the same fortnight, Sensa Core's $72M stands out. Neeman's raised $3.95M in a Series B from Snamsolutions, Truzon Solar took $401K in angel funding from Sachin Tendulkar, Qucev raised $15M in a Series B led by Singularity AMC, and Zaggle recorded $1.65M in a post-IPO round from Bennett Coleman. Transcon Ind's $27.9M Series B was the only other Telangana entry in the window in the tens of millions.
The tracker entry does not specify how Sensa Core intends to deploy the capital, nor does it disclose a valuation, prior funding history, or revenue figures for the company. It also does not detail the structure of the PE investment or whether Motilal Oswal was joined by other participants.
Sensa Core appears in a December listing dominated by smaller early-stage cheques across sectors ranging from fashion tech and food service to fintech and space tech, with a handful of larger rounds — Digantara, True Balance, MoEngage and Sensa Core among them — accounting for much of the dollar volume reported for the period.
