Superhero Capital backs Estonian app-builder bilt.me in $700K pre-seed
Bolt founder Markus Villig and Lightyear founder Martin Sokk also backed the round, which will fund global expansion and further product development.
bilt.me, an Estonian platform whose AI agent takes users from an initial idea to a live mobile application, has raised $700K in pre-seed funding. The round was led by Superhero Capital, with backing from Bolt founder Markus Villig and Lightyear founder Martin Sokk.
The company was founded in August 2025 by Uku Joost Annus, Kevin Akkermann and Karl Kiilaspää. It started life as a hackathon project focused on overcoming Apple's app-testing restrictions, and later evolved into a platform designed to make native app development accessible to more people.
That native focus is the company's point of difference. Where many AI app builders primarily generate web applications, bilt.me concentrates on native iOS and Android apps, seeing an opportunity in reducing the technical barriers to mobile development so that people with ideas can build and launch products without going through the traditional development process.
Building for native mobile also pushed the team to construct its own supporting infrastructure. With what it saw as a lack of suitable tools on the market, bilt.me built its own payments, cloud and sharing layers, called Bilt Payments, Bilt Cloud and Bilt Link.
The traction numbers are modest but moving. The platform has passed six figures in annual recurring revenue, with revenue doubling month over month for three consecutive months. Thousands of people are using bilt.me to build applications, around 75 per cent of which are consumer apps and 25 per cent private or in-house tools, and paying apps built on the platform are live on the App Store and Google Play.
Annus places the company's pitch in a broader European context, pointing to the continent's lagging position in areas including energy, semiconductors, AI infrastructure and frontier AI models. He argues the application layer is the one where Europe remains world-class, and that it depends on having enough builders. He said the team travelled to San Francisco and came home more convinced than ever that those builders are already in Europe.
He also highlighted how users are turning their own knowledge into products. "Our users are living at the frontier of AI," he said, describing people who take knowledge only they have, solve a problem everyone shares, and build a real business out of nothing in almost no time.
bilt.me says it will use the new capital to support its global expansion and to further develop its application-building capabilities.
