Daytona's $60M Series B values AI agent cloud at $1B
FirstMark led the round, which brings Daytona's total funding to $91M and will fund hiring in San Francisco, Croatia and Singapore.
Daytona, which builds cloud infrastructure for AI agents, has raised $60M in a Series B round at a $1 billion valuation, taking its total funding to $91M.
The round was led by FirstMark, with participation from a slate of individual founders and operators: Patrick Collison (Stripe), Adam D'Angelo (Quora), Brendan Foody (Mercor), Tobi Lütke (Shopify), Olivier Pomel (Datadog), Aravind Srinivas (Perplexity) and Eric Yuan (Zoom). Institutional investors included Alumni Ventures, Evergreen Fund, Okta Ventures, Qualcomm Ventures, Samsung Next and Torch Capital. Existing backers also increased their commitments, with Pace Capital doubling its investment, Upfront Ventures tripling and E2VC quadrupling theirs.
Daytona's platform provides secure, isolated computing environments where AI agents can execute code, use software tools and perform tasks. Developers and enterprises use it to train and evaluate models and to deploy and manage agents in production. Companies can launch environments for their agents through a single API; the platform supports Linux, Windows and macOS, with computing resources that expand or contract depending on the requirements of each task, and agents can pause, resume or explore different approaches without losing their progress.
The pitch rests on a shift in how AI systems are used. As models move beyond answering questions to performing tasks autonomously, running large numbers of agents simultaneously requires compute that scales with demand while maintaining security and isolation between individual agents. Ivan Burazin, co-founder and CEO, frames the problem in workforce terms: "Companies are going to manage thousands of digital employees, and each one needs a safe place to fail. Daytona ensures one rule breaking agent doesn't spill into company wide chaos."
Daytona says it provides infrastructure to Anthropic, OpenAI, NVIDIA, Cursor and Cognition, and that its customer base also includes Meta, Cohere, Mercor, Handshake, Surge AI, SambaNova, Postman, Bolt.new, n8n and Clay. Snorkel and Trajectory use the platform for AI training and evaluation work, according to the company, which says they have cut processing times. Daytona also reports a 25-fold increase in its revenue run rate between January and September.
With the new funding, the company plans to expand its agent cloud platform beyond its initial sandbox product, scale its computing infrastructure and grow its international team, with recruitment planned across San Francisco, Croatia and Singapore.
