Affinity Labs Secures $2M in Pre-Seed Funding to Enhance AI-Driven Software Development
London-based Affinity Labs raises $2M to expand creator-led software brands, with funding including a £497,787 grant from Innovate UK.
Affinity Labs, a London-based startup, has successfully raised $2 million in pre-seed funding aimed at expanding its portfolio of creator-led software brands and enhancing its AI-powered product development technology. The funding round was notably backed by Fuel Ventures and Antler, and includes a significant grant of £497,787 from Innovate UK, which is part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI).
Founded by Edoardo Ricci (CEO), Ahmed Eltom (COO), and Sunny Panchal (CTO), Affinity Labs focuses on developing software products in partnership with content creators. The company's innovative approach aims to leverage the existing audiences of creators, allowing them to launch and scale digital brands without needing to manage the underlying technology and infrastructure independently. This model is particularly significant as it applies the successful creator branding seen in sectors like beauty and food to the software industry.
So far, Affinity Labs has launched four creator-led brands, including the Interior Design Clinic with Olivia Bowen, which reached number 34 in the App Store's Lifestyle category, and Archives with Basel Ghazoghli, which has attracted over 75,000 users. The company reports that its portfolio has seen an impressive average revenue growth of 100 percent month-on-month over the past three months.
At the core of Affinity Labs' operations is its proprietary AI-powered development system, designed to automate various stages of product lifecycle management, from conceptualization to scaling. This technology is intended to reduce the time and resources needed to launch multiple software brands efficiently.
With the recent funding, Affinity Labs plans to bolster its portfolio, support the growth of existing products, and enhance its teams in product development, growth, and engineering. Additionally, the company aims to introduce its first products in collaboration with U.S. creators by late 2026. Long-term, Affinity Labs has set an ambitious goal of developing over 200 creator-led software brands by 2030.
Edoardo Ricci, the CEO, articulated the company's vision by emphasizing that creators possess trust and loyalty but often lack the infrastructure to capitalize on these assets. Affinity Labs aims to fill that gap by co-founding products with creators, thus creating brands that inherently have built-in organic distribution, a crucial factor that traditional consumer products often spend years establishing.
