Nat Habit Secures $15M in Funding to Expand Its Natural Personal Care Line
Nat Habit has raised $15M led by Trident Growth Partners, with plans for brand building and expansion.
Nat Habit, a direct-to-consumer (D2C) brand specializing in natural personal care products, has announced a significant funding round, raising $15 million led by Trident Growth Partners. This funding will not only support the company's expansion but also aid in brand building as it continues to transition its identity from an Ayurvedic-focused brand to a broader lifestyle proposition.
The investment, which includes contributions from Bertelsmann, Firstport, and Linklight Ventures among others, will see Trident Growth Partners investing around $11 million, while Bertelsmann and Linklight Ventures will contribute $4.5 million and $840,000, respectively. According to regulatory filings, Nat Habit will issue approximately 2.25 million Series C preference shares at a price of around $633.5 each to raise the total funds.
Following this investment round, Trident Growth Partners will hold an 11.44% stake in Nat Habit, while Bertelsmann will own 17.54%. The fresh capital is earmarked for general corporate purposes, including brand enhancement and operational expansion, with a small portion allocated for reducing the employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) pool.
The company, which has recently rebranded itself as Breathe Life, aims to broaden its market appeal beyond Ayurvedic products, which include shampoos, face washes, and moisturizers. This strategic shift is anticipated to align with evolving consumer preferences towards more holistic lifestyle choices.
Despite facing challenges, Nat Habit reported a 47.2% increase in revenue from operations, reaching approximately $12.8 million for the fiscal year 2025. However, the company also experienced a rise in losses, amounting to about $3.5 million in the same period. With this new funding, Nat Habit is positioned to not only recover from its losses but also to compete more robustly within the growing natural personal care market.
