Album VC leads $30M Series A for AI security firm Mindgard
Boston-based Mindgard will use the funding to scale product, engineering, sales, and marketing, with Karma Ventures and existing investors also participating.
Mindgard, an AI security company based in Boston, has closed a $30 million Series A financing. The company, described in the announcement as the leader in AI security, said the round was led by Album VC, with participation from Karma Ventures and existing investors .406 Ventures, Atlantic Bridge, IQ Capital, and Lakestar.
Mindgard plans to use the funding to scale the company across product, engineering, sales, and marketing in response to significant customer demand. That means the capital will support both the product roadmap and the commercial push, rather than being earmarked for a single function.
The investor lineup pairs a lead investor in Album VC with participation from Karma Ventures, while the presence of multiple existing investors—.406 Ventures, Atlantic Bridge, IQ Capital, and Lakestar—shows continuity from earlier rounds. The company said the expansion comes in response to significant customer demand, signaling that the financing is aimed at meeting market traction rather than funding an untested bet.
The financing was announced on August 12, 2026.
