Canvas Ventures Leads $15M Series A for Daptic's Product Compliance Software
The New York company, founded in 2023, has now raised $22M in total reported equity funding, with IA Ventures and 8VC joining the round.
Daptic, a product compliance software platform, has raised $15M in Series A funding led by Canvas Ventures, with IA Ventures and 8VC participating. The round, disclosed in AlleyWatch's startup daily funding report for October 1, 2026, brings the company's total reported equity funding to $22M.
The company's software helps manufacturers build regulatory requirements into product design and development. Daptic was founded in 2023 by Baptiste Bouvier, Hannah Collins, and Gabby Finear, and appears in the funding report under the AI and Enterprise categories.
Canvas Ventures led the round, with IA Ventures and 8VC listed as participants. The source did not name any additional investors beyond those three.
Daptic's raise was the largest of the three deals detailed in the same New York-focused report. Biotia, a clinical diagnostics company that uses metagenomic sequencing to identify the cause of recurrent and complicated urinary tract infections, raised $9M in venture funding from investors including Convergent Ventures, DigitalDx Ventures, Cloquet Capital Partners, Continuum Health Ventures, I-Lab Angels, EGB Capital, Leawood Venture Capital, Red Bear Angels, Red Bear Ventures, Tim Barry, and Clive Fields. Founded in 2016 by Niamh O'Hara, Chris Mason, and Rachid Ounit, Biotia has now raised a total of $19.4M in reported equity funding.
The third deal in the report was Tangent Robotics, a robotics company that builds touch-sensing robot hands and motor learning software to automate fine, high-precision manufacturing tasks. It raised $4.5M in pre-seed funding led by Fly Ventures and Toyota Ventures, with participation from Logos Fund and Sparked Ventures. Tangent Robotics was founded in 2025 by Pedro Piacenza, Matei Ciocarlie, and Ioannis Kymissis.
Daptic's Series A lands in a category — compliance tooling for manufacturers — that sits at the intersection of AI and enterprise software, the two tags the funding report applied to the company. At $15M, the round accounts for the bulk of the $22M Daptic has raised since its founding three years ago.
