Powerhouse and Flipkart Ventures back Alive App's $1M seed for experience economy
Bengaluru-based Alive App, which offers 500-plus experiences across six cities via 400-plus creators, previously raised Rs 6 crore in a pre-seed round led by Powerhouse Ventures.
Alive App, an AI-powered experience-tech platform, has raised $1 million in a seed funding round led by Powerhouse Ventures, with participation from Flipkart Ventures. The Bengaluru-based startup, founded in 2023 by Vivek Kumar, helps users discover curated experiences across adventure, food, wellness, art, culture and learning, and is building technology and supply infrastructure for India's experience economy.
The company said it will use the fresh capital to expand its product and experience supply as it seeks to increase the frequency of leisure and experience-based activities among urban consumers. The round follows a Rs 6 crore pre-seed funding led by Powerhouse Ventures last year.
Alive App currently operates across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi and Goa, offering more than 500 experiences through a network of over 400 creators and partners. It has recorded its first profitable quarter in Bengaluru, its first and largest market. Over the past six months, it has expanded to Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi, in addition to its presence in Goa. The company says experience supply in Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi and Goa has grown five times faster than during its initial expansion phase, and it currently adds around 100 new experiences every month.
Alive App is targeting 3X revenue growth over the next few months and plans to focus on increasing user frequency on its platform.
The raise comes as experience-tech platforms use technology to aggregate and create experiences across categories, with demand for discovery and experiential consumption growing among urban consumers. In this segment, Bucketlistt raised Rs 1.07 crore in pre-seed funding in June this year to build a curated marketplace for verified experiences, while Urbanaut offers curated city experiences, events, workshops, culinary pop-ups, wellness and cultural activities. Experiential travel brand WanderOn raised Rs 54 crore in Series A funding in 2026.
