MakeO Raises $10M to Expand Zenyum's Dental Network in Asia

MakeO, the parent company of Singapore-based dental and oral-care brand Zenyum, has successfully raised $10 million in a funding round led by investment firm Singularity AMC. The funds will be allocated towards expanding Zenyum's network of partner dentists in Southeast and North Asia, as well as enhancing technology systems and increasing manufacturing capacity.

With the recent acquisition of Zenyum, MakeO has created a substantial group boasting approximately 1,100 partner dentists across multiple regions, including India, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Japan. This expansion is critical as the company aims to solidify its position in the competitive dental care market.

Zenyum is well-known for designing and manufacturing clear teeth-straightening devices, which are distributed in various markets through its established brands, including Toothsi in India and Zenyum in other regions. According to recent reports, MakeO has achieved an annual recurring revenue exceeding S$70 million (approximately $54.7 million) and is profitable on an EBITDA basis, highlighting its strong market presence and operational efficiency.

The new investment will not only facilitate the growth of Zenyum's dental network but also support the development of shared technology systems and the scaling of manufacturing capabilities, essential for meeting the increasing demand for dental services in the region. With the funding, MakeO is poised to enhance its competitive edge and expand its footprint in the burgeoning oral care market in Asia.
