Doris Labs' $600K pre-seed backs AI 'Sidekicks' for sales teams
Fuel Ventures led the London company's pre-seed, with Manchester Angels and a group of industry angels participating.
Doris Labs, a London-based software company, has raised $600K in pre-seed funding to build out a semantic layer aimed at go-to-market teams.
The round was led by Fuel Ventures, with participation from Manchester Angels and a group of industry angel investors, according to the company's announcement.
Doris Labs is targeting a familiar problem in sales technology: customer information scattered across the tools a revenue team already uses. The company says its platform unifies customer data held in CRM, email and document platforms, a consolidation play it frames as a way to help sales teams improve deal velocity.
The pitch goes a step beyond tidying up records. Doris Labs describes its product as a GTM AI semantic layer that captures and structures unstructured data from various sources, so that both humans and AI agents can make more informed decisions throughout the sales cycle. That framing puts the company in the crowded conversation about how AI agents get reliable context about a business — a prerequisite, vendors argue, before agents can be trusted with customer-facing work.
Some of the new capital is earmarked for a product the company has just launched. Doris Labs plans to use the funding to further develop its platform and its Sidekicks, described as AI-powered deal partners that draw on a company's historical data to help sales representatives close deals.
The company was founded by Hayden Munt and Frazer Kearl. It lists its software category as sales technology.
The pre-seed is a small cheque by the standards of AI-adjacent software rounds, but it lands in a segment where a growing number of startups are competing to sit between the systems of record sales teams already pay for and the AI tools being layered on top of them. Whether buyers see a distinct product or another integration layer in a crowded stack is the question Doris Labs will spend this round answering.
Funding was announced in October 2026.
