GenHealth.ai's back-office AI bet draws a $17M Series A

GenHealth.ai, a San Francisco-based company building AI software for healthcare administration, has raised $17M in a Series A round, according to funding tracker AI Funding. The round was announced September 11, 2026, and is the only financing disclosed for the company in the tracker's database, bringing cumulative raised capital to $17M.

The company's software targets the back office rather than the clinic. GenHealth.ai builds AI aimed at automating administrative tasks in healthcare, and it pitches the technology to healthcare organizations looking to streamline back-office workflows and reduce the manual burden carried by non-clinical operations. That places it in a segment the tracker characterizes as having high operational complexity and labor intensity — the kind of work where scheduling, claims handling, coding and records management consume staff hours without touching patient care.

Victor Lanio is listed as the lead investor on the deal, and is the only investor named in the tracker's records for the round. GenHealth.ai has not disclosed additional participants.

GenHealth.ai sits inside a crowded corner of the tracker's database. Other AI healthcare companies it tracks include IM8, with $1.0B in total raised; Neko Health at $700M; Alan at $460M; Function Health at $450M; and Chai Discovery at $400M. Those businesses span general health, preventive diagnostics, insurance, preventive care and drug discovery rather than administrative automation specifically, so the overlap is at the sector level. On the wider market picture, AI Funding's Q1 2026 report recorded $25.9B raised across 94 deals, with 14 mega-rounds capturing 79.8% of total capital. Against that backdrop, a $17M Series A is small — consistent with an early-stage check in applied AI rather than a headline-grabbing mega-round.
