GMI Cloud Stacks a $223M Series B on a $445M CTBC-Led Credit Line
ARCHIV, a new San Francisco firm focused on AI and robotics, led the equity round with NVIDIA participating, while CTBC led the credit facility for a combined $668M in new financing.
GMI Cloud, the Mountain View, California company behind an AI-native cloud delivering high-performance GPU infrastructure and inference services, announced $668 million in new financing on October 5, 2026 — a package split between equity and debt.
The equity component is a $223 million Series B led by ARCHIV, a new investment firm based in San Francisco that specializes in AI and robotics. NVIDIA participated in the round, along with a set of backers drawn heavily from the Asia-Pacific region. That group includes DSC Investment, Trend Micro, KB Investment, Kyobo Life and KT Corporation, among others.
Sitting alongside the equity is a $445 million credit facility led by CTBC, which accounts for the majority of the total and arrives as debt rather than dilution.
For a company selling GPU capacity and inference services, the structure matters. Equity and a credit facility do different jobs, and GMI Cloud has now announced both at once rather than sequencing them. The company did not disclose how it intends to deploy the proceeds.
The investor mix is the other notable feature of the raise. Leadership came from ARCHIV, a young fund building a position in AI and robotics, while NVIDIA's participation places a chip supplier on the cap table of a customer-facing cloud provider. The remainder of the syndicate reads as a deliberate Asia-Pacific tilt: DSC Investment, Trend Micro, KB Investment, Kyobo Life and KT Corporation all took part, with the company describing participation from investors across the region as strong.
GMI Cloud did not state a valuation, revenue figure or headcount in the announcement, and no executives were quoted.
The deal lands in a GPU cloud market where capital requirements are shaped less by software development than by the cost of acquiring and operating accelerators, and where credit facilities have become a common companion to equity for companies that need to finance hardware at scale. Whether the $668 million total is read as one round or two, GMI Cloud now has both forms of capital in hand as of the October 5 announcement.
