GMI Cloud's $223M Series B arrives with a $445M credit line and NVIDIA on board
ARCHIV, a new San Francisco firm focused on AI and robotics, led the equity round, with Asia-Pacific backers including KT Corporation, Trend Micro and KB Investment joining.
GMI Cloud has assembled $668 million in new financing, a package that pairs a $223 million Series B equity round with a $445 million credit facility led by CTBC.
The Mountain View, California company, which describes itself as an AI-native cloud delivering high-performance GPU infrastructure and inference services, said the Series B was led by ARCHIV, a new investment firm based in San Francisco that specializes in AI and robotics. NVIDIA participated in the equity round.
GMI Cloud also reported strong participation from investors across the Asia-Pacific region, naming DSC Investment, Trend Micro, KB Investment, Kyobo Life, KT Corporation and others among the round's backers.
The structure of the raise is notable in its own right: the debt component led by CTBC is roughly twice the size of the equity check, meaning GMI Cloud is funding itself with a mix that leans on credit alongside venture capital. For a company selling GPU capacity — where hardware, data-center buildouts and power contracts chew through capital quickly — that split lets the venture round carry the equity story while the facility carries much of the balance-sheet weight.
The investor roster tells a second story. ARCHIV is new, and NVIDIA's presence puts a strategic partner on the cap table of a company whose product line is built around GPU infrastructure and inference services. The Asia-Pacific contingent — spanning semiconductor-adjacent investors, insurers and telecoms such as KT Corporation — suggests demand for AI compute capacity is being underwritten from multiple corners of the region's corporate economy, not just traditional venture funds.
GMI Cloud did not disclose how it intends to use the proceeds, nor did it provide valuation, revenue or headcount figures.
The financing was announced on October 5, 2026.
