Sirona Medical Secures $40M in Series D Funding to Enhance Cloud-Native Radiology
Sirona Medical raises $40M in Series D led by Avidity Partners, expanding its RadOS platform for over 12M exams annually.
Sirona Medical, a pioneer in cloud-native radiology software, has successfully raised $40 million in its Series D funding round, led by Avidity Partners. This investment marks a significant addition to the company’s total venture funding, which now exceeds $150 million. The funds will solidify Sirona’s long-term financial stability, enabling the company to continue its ambitious operational plans indefinitely.
The company’s flagship product, RadOS, operates as the first unified cloud and AI-native radiology operating system. Launched commercially in November 2023, RadOS integrates several functionalities—including a PACS archive, diagnostic viewer, clinical reporter, smart worklist, and workflow AI—into a single software fabric. This innovative approach aims to replace outdated, fragmented solutions that have long plagued the industry.
As of September 30, 2026, Sirona Medical has seen rapid growth in its operational metrics, managing over 12 million primary imaging exams annually across various multi-site enterprise clients. The year-over-year revenue has expanded by 2.5 times, and the contracted Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) has grown by 2.7 times, demonstrating strong market traction and demand for its offerings.
The Series D funding will be allocated to multiple strategic initiatives, including the commercialization of Sirona Cortex, an intelligent AI orchestration layer designed to enhance diagnostic processes within RadOS. This system aims to provide dynamic updates and recommendations, moving beyond static overlays to support radiologists in their daily workflows.
Additionally, Sirona Medical plans to strengthen its client services infrastructure and expand its operational hubs in Burlington, Vermont, and Cincinnati, Ohio. This expansion will help facilitate enterprise migrations and enhance customer support, crucial for maintaining service quality as the company scales.
With the successful backing from Avidity Partners and other participating investors, Sirona is poised to further establish itself as a leader in the radiology software space. The company’s focus on collaboration and network activation among radiologists is set to redefine how imaging practices operate, potentially transforming the delivery of radiology services across the globe.
