Chariot's mass-arbitration engine gets $10M to automate consumer claims
Silverton Partners led the Series A, which brings the New York legal tech startup's total funding to $15.7 million.
Chariot, a New York-based legal technology startup, has raised $10 million in Series A funding to scale a platform that helps consumers pursue legal claims against companies over practices such as hidden fees, privacy violations and deceptive subscription models.
Silverton Partners, a venture capital firm focused on early-stage investments, led the round. Additional participating investors were Indicator Ventures, Lightbank, Neon Fund, ZVC, Rosecliff Ventures, Alumni Ventures, FJ Labs, Graph Ventures and Vermilion Ventures. The round brings Chariot's total funding to $15.7 million.
Founded in 2023 by CEO Zim Hang, Chariot builds infrastructure for law firms managing mass arbitration claims. The company says its platform identifies valid claims, gathers the necessary evidence and connects affected individuals with partner law firms that handle the legal proceedings — a technical and administrative layer that sits between a consumer who believes they have been wronged and the firm that ultimately litigates the case.
Chariot intends to use the new capital primarily for hiring and product development. Specifically, the company says it is investing in AI-powered tools designed to review legal cases more efficiently and to automate the verification process for consumer eligibility. That second piece is central to how mass claims function: before any individual claim can move forward, someone has to confirm that the person filing is actually eligible to be part of it, and doing that at volume is largely manual work today.
Chariot's stated emphasis on case review and eligibility screening targets exactly that operational burden, which scales with the number of claimants rather than with the number of disputes. The funding lands in the legal tech category, where the company's focus is narrower than general practice-management software: it is aimed at the mechanics of consumer arbitration at scale, from claim identification through evidence collection and referral to counsel.
The Series A was announced on October 15, 2026, roughly three years after the company's founding.
